This Privacy Policy explains how Ledgermint Finance Academy (“Ledgermint”, “we”) collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit ledgermint.in, send us an enquiry, subscribe to updates or enrol in a course. We process personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable laws.

1. Data we collect

Enquiries and subscriptions: your name, email address, mobile number, the course you are interested in and your message.
Student account: name, email, mobile number, login details, the courses you enrol in, your learning progress, assessment results and certificates.
Payments: the amount, date and transaction reference. Card, UPI and bank details are collected and processed by the payment gateway — we do not store them.
Technical data: basic device, browser and usage information needed to run and secure the website. Your course cart is stored in your own browser (local storage).

2. Why we use it

to answer your enquiry and help you choose a course;
to create your account, give you course access, track progress and issue certificates;
to process payments and refunds and keep accounting and tax records;
to send course-related updates and, if you subscribed, our newsletter (you can unsubscribe at any time);
to keep the website and portal secure and to improve our courses.

We rely on your consent (for example when you submit an enquiry or subscribe) and on legitimate uses permitted by law, such as completing a purchase you asked for or meeting legal obligations.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run our services, under confidentiality obligations:

our learning-platform provider, which hosts the student portal;
the payment gateway that processes your payments;
cloud hosting and database services (Google Cloud / Firebase); and
communication tools we use to reply to you (email, phone and WhatsApp).

We may also disclose data when required by law or to protect our rights and users.

4. How long we keep it

Enquiry and newsletter data is kept until you ask us to delete it or for up to 24 months after our last contact. Student account and learning records are kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can verify certificates. Payment records are kept for the period required by tax and accounting laws.

5. Your rights

You can ask us to:

tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
correct, complete or update your data;
erase your data where it is no longer needed (subject to legal retention requirements);
withdraw consent — for example to stop newsletters; and
nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity.

To make a request, email admissions@ledgermint.in with the subject “Privacy request”. We may need to verify your identity before acting.

6. Children

If a learner is under 18, we process their data only with the verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls, to protect your data. No online service can be completely secure, so please keep your login details private.

8. Cookies and local storage

The website uses your browser's local and session storage for essential features such as your course cart and remembering that you have seen an offer. Our hosting and database providers may set technical cookies needed to deliver the service securely.

9. Grievances

If you have a concern about how your data is handled, contact our grievance contact at admissions@ledgermint.in. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows the current version.
